Ospreys help celebrate Christmas lunch with
Cyrenians Community Centre Staff and members.
Players and management of the Ospreys will be joining homeless and vulnerable adults in Swansea for a Christmas lunch at the Cyrenians Community on High Street in Swansea at 12:00PM on Wednesday 22nd of December.
The Community Centre has been running the subsidised Christmas lunches with all the trimmings every Wednesday in December. The dinners have been made possible thanks to support from the Swansea Round Table.
Craig Miller from the Swansea Round Table says:
“I first visited the Cyrenians Community Centre about a year ago and it really touched us, the work that the staff do and the clients. We really wanted to help especially at Christmas with cold days and nights it means so much to so many people to be able to have a nice Christmas Lunch.”
Cyrenians Community Centre Healthy living Coordinator Clare Evans says:
“We are so grateful for the support from The Round Table and many other organisations and individuals in the community who so generously donate to our members especially at Christmas. For such a large part of the year homeless and vulnerable adults in Swansea feel excluded from society, so it really does mean a lot to be able to provide them with some Christmas cheer.
We are also extremely grateful to members of the Ospreys who have chosen to give up their time on their day off to spend Christmas lunch with our members at the centre it will really make their day."
